Laser Hair Removal for Legs — BFI

Laser Hair Removal for Legs

The largest area — and the one with the biggest "return on investment": think how many hours of shaving or waxing you save every year, for good.

6–8Sessions
25–35′Duration
2/5Sensation
6–8 wksInterval

Why laser on the legs

On the legs the hair cycle is slower, which is why the intervals are longer (6–8 weeks) — but the transformation is also one of the most striking: evenly smooth skin with no "dark shadow", no ingrown hairs and none of the micro-cuts of a razor.

  • ✓A definitive end to the most time-consuming part of daily grooming
  • ✓Dark spots and ingrown hairs on the calves disappear
  • ✓The option of half legs, full legs, or in combination with bikini

At a glance, in numbers

A conservative estimate for regular leg grooming — once the laser cycle is complete, this time essentially drops to zero.

The procedure step by step

  1. Free assessment

Analysis of your phototype and hair growth, a medical history and a personalised session plan.

  2. Preparation

Shaving of the area 24 hours beforehand; your therapist sets the laser to your own characteristics.

  3. Session

Short pulses with simultaneous cooling — the sensation of a brief "snap" with warmth.

  4. After

Moisturiser and sun protection. The hairs "shed" gradually over the next 1–3 weeks.

Before & after the session

  • ✓Before: shave 24 hours beforehand — no wax or tweezers for 4 weeks, so that the root is there as a "target".
  • ✓Before: our system does not require you to stay out of the sun — just tell us if you have tanned recently, so that we can adjust the settings.
  • ✓After: moisturiser, a mild cleanser and SPF 50 on exposed areas for 2 weeks.
  • ✓After: no sauna, hammam, intense exercise or very hot showers for 24–48 hours.
  • ✓During the period of the sessions, shave in between them — never wax or any root hair removal.

The research confirms it

"A significant reduction in leg hair was maintained 18 months after treatment with an Alexandrite laser."

The smart plan: keep your own rhythm

Because the legs need 6–8 sessions with intervals of 6–8 weeks, the full cycle takes about a year. With our system, staying in the sun is not a contraindication, so you do not have to wait for a particular season or break off for your holidays. What counts is being consistent with the appointments — every session that is postponed for too long moves the end of the cycle by as much.

Questions & Answers

What most people ask, with honest answers.

Full legs or half legs?

It depends on your own hair — many people start with the calves and add the thighs later. At the assessment we will look at the density and suggest the most efficient plan for you.

Why is the interval longer?

The hair growth cycle on the legs is slower. If the sessions are too close together, we "miss" hairs that have not had time to enter the growth phase — which is why intervals of 6–8 weeks give a better result per session.

I have thread veins/varicose veins — can I have it?

In most cases yes, with the treated areas adjusted. Mention it at the assessment so we can take it into account in the plan.

Can I stay in the sun?

Yes. With our system, staying in the sun is not a contraindication; after the session apply SPF 50 to your legs for two weeks.
