Laser Hair Removal for Women
From underarms to full body: how a women's hair removal programme is designed to respect your body, your hormones and your time.
Designed for women's hair
Women's hair is not uniform: it changes from area to area and is affected by hormones, contraceptives, pregnancies and age. That is why at BFI there is no "one programme for all women" — the assessment maps your own profile and the plan is built on it.
- ✓Most popular programmes: underarms + bikini, half legs + underarms, or full body for an overall solution.
- ✓Discretion: female therapists, private rooms, respect for your time and your body.
- ✓Flexible plan: it adapts to your cycle, pregnancy (a pause), breastfeeding and the schedule of your life.
Hormones, PCOS & expectations
If your hair growth has a hormonal background — for example polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) — laser remains the most effective tool for managing the hair that is already there, but realism is needed: as long as the hormonal cause remains, new follicles may be activated and the programme may need more regular maintenance. We will tell you this clearly from the start — and we will refer you for an endocrine check if your history warrants it.
The procedure step by step
- Free assessment
Analysis of your phototype and hair growth, a medical history and a personalised session plan.
- Preparation
Shaving of the area 24 hours beforehand; your therapist sets the laser to your own characteristics.
- Session
Short pulses with simultaneous cooling — the sensation of a brief "snap" with warmth.
- After
Moisturiser and sun protection. The hairs "shed" gradually over the next 1–3 weeks.
Before & after the session
- ✓Before: shave 24 hours beforehand — no wax or tweezers for 4 weeks, so that the root is there as a "target".
- ✓Before: our system does not require you to stay out of the sun — just tell us if you have tanned recently, so that we can adjust the settings.
- ✓After: moisturiser, a mild cleanser and SPF 50 on exposed areas for 2 weeks.
- ✓After: no sauna, hammam, intense exercise or very hot showers for 24–48 hours.
- ✓Book freely around your cycle — just avoid the days of your period for bikini.
The research confirms it
"High satisfaction rates and a mild safety profile characterise laser hair removal when it is carried out by trained staff."
Pregnancy, breastfeeding & the plan of your life
The hair removal programme adapts to your phases: during pregnancy it is frozen as a precaution and continues without worry afterwards, during breastfeeding it can as a rule run on the body, while sessions that were "lost" are simply postponed — progress is never reset. Tell us what is coming in your life, and the plan will follow it.
Questions & Answers
What most people ask, with honest answers.
I take contraceptives — do they affect the result?
Usually not negatively — in some cases the hormonal stability even helps. Mention it in your history so that we take it into account.
Can I have laser during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
During pregnancy the programme is frozen as a precaution. During breastfeeding it can as a rule continue on the body — with an individual assessment.
I have dark skin or a tan — is it safe?
Yes. With our system, staying in the sun is not a contraindication; on dark or recently tanned skin we simply adjust the settings at the assessment.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the areas and the number of sessions. At the free assessment you get an exact, written quote — with no hidden charges and no pressure.
