"In how many sessions will I see it?" — the first question of every assessment. The honest answer: it depends on the area, on your hair and on your hormones. Here you will find the real averages and the reasons behind them.
Every hair goes through three phases: growth (anagen), transition (catagen) and rest (telogen). Laser effectively destroys only the follicles that are in the growth phase — that is, roughly 15–30% of the hairs at any given moment.
That is why repeated sessions with the right interval are needed: each time we "catch" a new wave of hairs in the right phase. If the sessions are too close together, they are wasted on hairs that are not yet a target.
Dark, thick hair, light skin and consistency with appointments all work in your favour. What slows the result down: hormonal disorders (for example PCOS), wax between sessions (it removes the "target"), very fine or light-coloured down, and turning up irregularly.
At BFI we record the response at every session and adjust the settings and the intervals — your plan is alive, not static.
Most people see noticeable thinning after the 2nd or 3rd session: the hairs that come back are fewer, finer and slower. "Almost nothing left" typically arrives at 70–80% of the cycle — and from there we build the final finish.
